Questions parents ask

Which exam is this for?

The GL Assessment 11+ Maths paper. The topics are Key Stage 2 maths, so the book also serves as a thorough Year 5 revision course; for the CSSE, which is a written-answer paper, the CSSE Maths guide is the right one.

Is it harder than school maths?

The content is what school teaches by the end of Year 6. The difficulty is the pace and the wording, so the chapters climb: the first three questions of each are a Year 4 start, the last few are the level of the paper.

Does it have the timed test?

Yes, with the real answer sheet layout, so the child practises transferring answers as well as finding them, and a score sheet with advice for each score band.
